Got a pattern and you just can’t break it
Got a pattern and you just can’t break it?
Unaddressed pain, when it lives in the unconscious, always comes full circle
It will come around again and again as our psyche attempts to make conscious the experiences we have had in our lives that have left a lasting impact or wound, that lives within us, unaddressed and banished to the unconscious.
It’s not always clear in the way it comes back to us consciously either, it often makes us misinterpret the way we see ourselves, others and our environment.
What is the Unconscious? It is the mind’s processes, which are not available for reflection and introspection, it’s simply not available to us. Then why is it so important? The emphasis is due to the fact that the unconscious has the power to inhibit or transform who we are due to the fact that it is the FAR larger realm of our total psyche.
What we are aware of, or what exists in the field of our consciousness, is only ever a sliver of our total personality!
Many of our core beliefs, patterns and perceptions are housed in the unconscious, and we are totally ignorant of them.
We often get entangled in reenactment patterns and it can often take many re-enactments of the unconscious for us to have the desire to seek out the source of our trouble.
We can either reinforce the trauma cycle and continue to live in the wake of its disharmony or we can go back to it’s original roots and heal the wounds we were not able to assimilate at the time. This involves addressing our avoidance strategies, facing our uncomfortable and overwhelming emotions by turning to face the past painful experiences which frees the psychic energy from the unconscious and allows us to assimilate it into core conscious awareness. Sometimes the source of our trouble goes back even further into our ancestral line. Please see my article on Healing Ancestral Trauma.
In order to have a psychic change we need to confront limiting beliefs, identify the root causes of why you think, feel, react and behave like you do, have compassion and understanding for the effect that it has had and move towards a more loving, compassionate view towards self.
“A person must break several inner spells and awaken more than once in order to enter the gates of awareness”
